I Propose a Jen Week

Few people in the history of mankind had made more of an effort to keep a family close than Jennifer Piippo. I can't tell you the number of times I have been solicited to make Missoula,  Montana my home (actually, both Hayley and I really like montana).

Probably my favorite memory of Jen, aside from some amazing school photos, was Christmas dance routines. Tape on the floor, New Kids on the Block, and a couple of parents wondering if their boys may develop successful dance carreers. What could be better?

We love you, Jen! Happy Birthday!

  1. JENNY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :o) I want to just thank you so much for all the love and support you've given to me. Especially letting me talk to you, and vent a little sometimes. You've been amazing to me and I want to thank you. You've helped me feel part of the family, and I really loved that. I do feel like your one of my sisters, if that makes sense. Very comforting to me. Thank you so much and have a wonderful amazing day! I love you so much Jen.

  2. Hey, where did all the fun stuff go to decorate your comment with? I'd like a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY with colors and balloons, and while were at it a yummy german chocolate cake with pralines and cream icecream!! Truely Jenny, I love and appreciate you so much. I feel as if a big load is lifted from me to keep this family together before and after I'm gone. I'll never forget the 5 big black plastic bags I filled from off your floor and took to the neighbors to hide until I though you had learned a lesson. Didn't work, you could of cared less. I loved watching you do your dance routine with MIke Summers. I appreciated you so much with helping me, honestly, keep my sanitey with 7 kids. What would I have done without you? I never had to worry about you, you were so good and righteous. I know your saying Ha-Ha right now, but look at all the bad things you competely stayed away from. I love how you can organize and take charge. I love all the fun ideas you have and we are the luckey recipiants of your cleverness. 9 people in this family love you sooo very much. (Not to mention your Piippo family! Yea for big families!! Mom

  3. Thanks guys! Mom, could we make that a white cake and vanilla icecream? I don't like chocolate- not choclate cake, icecream, I can tolerate alittle in my cookies and in my candy bars, but you won't ever catch me just eating choclate chips from the bag. When I was Pregnant, I did notice that brownies did sound good occasionally, but not so now. We do eat the every now and then, but I would prefer something more Plain and white! Crazy, huh?

  4. Jennifer Piippo! I've been away from the blog for a very long time, but I'm on again just in time to comment before your birthday is over! ...actually, it's past midnight, so I guess it was over twenty minutes ago, but you get the point. I was so young when Jen left that I have only a handful of memories from the time. I've already mentionned going to the school dance in another comment. Most of all, I am amazed at how good a relationship we seem to have, even though the better half of my childhood was spent nowhere near you. I attribute that to you. Thanks, Jen, for taking the time to invite me up to Salmon to live with you for a week, or comming to visit every Chirstmas, or constantly calling to see how i'm doing. You are a wonderful sister and I'm grateful you care so much. I love you lots!
