Shampoo

7 comments:

  1. I loved shampoo! When I think about having to get up every morning and hauling bales of hay around to feed him, saddling him up by myself, etc. I am pretty impressed that I could do all of that. Brooke is the same age as I was, and I don't think she could even drag a bale of hay! I wish that we could live where there were chores like that! I don't want wimpy kids!

Where did you get that picture- I LOVE IT!

  2. When I was at Mom and Dad's house over Christmas, I scanned all of the pictures Mom and Dad had of me so that I could have them for myself. I scanned 315 pictures. Unfortunately, I did not have the time (nor the desire) to scan pictures I wasn't in. However, I did get a lot of fun pictures, like this one. I will post them occasionally on the blog.

  4. That back yard was the most amazing playground. I loved going up on the hill and there were a few trees that I had a "fort" in. I loved it when there was water flowing in the little stream and we'd go fishing for worms. Tubing was also the greatest in the winter. I remember dad would have to go down it a few times to make the track, I remember him literally sitting on the tube and using his feet to pull himself down trying to push the snow down for us. We had some really neat runs with that tube- perfect amount of hike up and slide down when you are little. What else... OH- Ben, the dog. I remember Jeff loved him so much and would lay and snuggle him. That really was probably my favorite of cool houses. AND let's not forget the laundry shoot!

  5. Do remember that one day when Ben went crazy and Mom made us go outside while he ran all over the house? I remember sledding too. I loved living there!!! It was the greatest when you are a kid but I'm not sure I would have wanted to go to high school there.

  6. Sorry this is late, it's been a while since I've been in the blogging world, but this post makes me sad! Now my feelings of missing out on past family memories have suddenly returned. Look at all I missed! Dang it. Well, I guess it will all be made up when you are all dead and gone and I'm the last one living. We'll see who's making memories then! ha!

  7. You didn't even ever live in Montepelier did you, Brian. So you don't remember that dad had a motorcycle and would ride us around the block on it- and sometimes we were extra dare-devily and went up on the hill- but that was kind of scary. He also had a red truck with carpeted benches in the back- it was the most fun place to ride when we went on trips! The boys had a jungle room w/ the most outlandish BRIGHT wall paper you have ever seen. There was a laundry shoot from the second floor bathroom down to the main floor bathroom. One day the main bath door accidently got locked, so mom had me go down the laundry shoot to open it. I was so freeked the first time, but after that it was kind of fun- as long as there were lots of clothes piled at the bottom!
