A favorite Uncle has passed away.

Born December 4, 1925, my favorite Uncle has returned to his Heavenly Father. No uncle has been loved more by a nephew than my Uncle Earl.

Here are some other pictures of Earl.

  1. I am so sorry to hear that. I remember when we were little and living in Utah, we would go visit him. He always had a ready smile and would try to get down on our level to talk with us. When is his funeral planned for?

  2. I don't have any memories of him except those you have provided for me. We are glad that he had such a profound influence on you, dad, because that in turn has shaped my entire life. We are sorry for our loss and especially yours, dad. Our prayers are with you.

  3. I don't ever remember meeting Earl, but I'm really sad to hear the news. Since my mission I have thought often about his impact in our lives. Were it not for his dedication in helping dad to go to church each week and go on a mission, we don't know if we would even be members of the church now. I ponder on the great blessings I have in my life as a result of the gospel and all the lives we have been able to touch through our missions and personal lives. I think of each person I taught on my mission individually and how much the gospel has transformed them and their lives. The impact Earl had is incalculable. I so badly wanted to meet him and thank him, but now I will not have the chance for a long while.
    Thank you, Dad, for following Earl and the Spirit.
    Thank you, Earl, for your unwavering testimony and your refusal to relinquish it.

  4. I assume that Greg put these pictures up. Thanks. Our computer crashed and that is why I have not commented earlier. I will pull this down now that the funeral is over.;

  5. Don't pull it down- it's part of our year and history. I would like make a family blog book at the end of the year for family history- maybe our kids and grandkids will enjoy seeing what we were like before we became deaf old farts?
