Family Reunion

I know, I am a planning freak! The reunion is a long ways away (6 months as Steph told me), but I thought I better ask now...just in case! I realize that as our families start getting bigger/older, we won't be able to move it for everyone- and that no weekend is going to be great for everyone.
Brooke is going to her first sleep away camp (*sigh* she is finally old enough, and the apron strings are starting to fray) and it happens that it's the first week of August- the 1st-6th. That would be when the Bean reunion usually is. SO- would it be horrible if we moved to the end of July?

That being said, if it doesn't work then we totally understand and and we'll catch you next year. If it DOES work, the weekend of July 22,23,24 OR July 29, 30, 31st? I am worried about people having to get off work, being on call, summer school, moving, etc. Thanks!

  1. Anyone up for two reunions a year? Looking at the pictures makes me miss all of you guys lots!! The kids have all grown TONS since last year. ALSO- Greg and Hayley- is there any weekend that you might be close...if so, then I vote we move the reunion to THAT weekend!!!!

  2. We really want to make it to a reunion! In fact, picking a date right now would be fantastic, because Greg has court scheduled many months in advance, and if we knew the date he could avoid having court that week. I think we could do it at the end of July, but I am not the keeper of the money, or the work schedule! I am free every day in every week!:)

  3. Our schedule is fairly open I think. The only other big plans we have for summertime is going out to Utah when my brother goes to the MTC. Unfortunately we have no idea when that will be. So we'll be fine with whenever for the family reunion, and if his MTC date happens to conflict, we'll work something out. We're so excited to see everyone!

  4. Greg having a court schedule, sound so amazingly cool! How fun for you to be able to casually use that in a conversation! Ask the keeper of the money and see what he thinks. Tell him we'll buy him a lottery ticket if he comes, or let him choose his favorite candy jar.

  5. I'll be honest. I think for us it would be better to do it the second week in August as opposed to the last week of July. Josh will probably have an internship this summer so the closer to school starting the better chance we'll have of it being finished. Normally we'd just have him ask for it off but we have a family reunion for the Hill side the beginning of june and he'll have to have that off as well. If we can spread enough time out between the two it would be better. But if it works better for everyone else the end of july then we'll make it work as well.

  6. We could do the second week of August. Blair would probably not be able to be tehere becasue of work, but 'tis good! Where are you guys looking at internships? Up there, or maybe down in S. Idaho, or Timbucktoo?

  9. Ok. I'll try this again. The first three weeks in July are out due to the Fourth, the Mattson reunion is always then, and by that time Adam has taken off too much work. We can't predict Adam's on call rotation so far in advance but I am sure he could switch with someone if he has to. Why not the third week in August? It's still summer then. August really would be best.
