Hi family!

I wanted to give you all a rundown of what will be happening in a couple weeks at the wedding. It's all going to be pretty informal and fun, so we hope you all like it!

First, the schedule.

Friday:
7:00pm We will be doing an inter-family dinner for all those who can make it at the Texas Road House in Lehi (1402 East Main Street Lehi, UT 84043). It would be nice to have as many of the family there as possible, but if you can't make it, we understand.

Saturday:
1:00- Sealing Ceremony at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. (742 North 900 East American Fork, UT 84003) You will need to show up at least 30 minutes early.

2:00- Pictures outside the temple

3:30- Luncheon at Rodizio Grill (749 West 100 North American Fork, UT 84003)

6:30-8:30- Reception and Wadley Farm (35 East 400 North Lindon, UT 84042)

I have attached a map of directions to each place here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=

Second, Attire.
For all the adult males in the immediate family we will be providing matching ties (rented). Please wear a dark suit with white shirt.  For all the adult females we will be providing matching scarves. I have attached a picture of the scarf to allow for outfit planning. It is strongly encouraged that the immediate family wear sapphire blue (see picture). If the women cannot, black and white are our supporting colors and will work fine. It is also encouraged, but not required, to wear the scarves. Really, we got them in anticipation that we may be wearing coats in our pictures and we wanted to have something to match. For non-adult girls, Steph is making matching hair pieces and should be sending them out to you. For non-adult boys. . . . we have no plans. Make them look good :)

Third, Sleeping Accommodations.
I thought we were going to try to stay in the same place, but it looks like that's kind of fallen apart. If you are still looking for a place, however, the original plan was for the Sleep Inn in American Fork. Mike and Liz will be staying there and would love as much company as possible. If you don't mind sleeping on an air mattress, our apartment in Salt Lake will be vacant. I'd love to show it off to anybody who wants.

For Kids not Attending the Ceremony:
I don't have many suggestions for babysitting, but I know Jeff and Brooke will be available to help out. Let me know if you want me to do additional digging on baby sitters. Maybe Juliana's family has some ideas worked out.

If you have any other questions or problems, please let me know.

Thanks!

Brian

  1. Woohoo!! So excited! Two quick things: The scarf picture is not showing up on my browser, so I can't see what it looks like...what color is it? Is it blue, or some coordinating color (like would it be weird to wear a blue dress with a blue scarf? That's probably not a question to be asking you though, huh?).

Also the Sleep Inn that Mike and I are staying at is actually in Provo. The one in American Fork was a Holiday Inn Express, but that's just too expensive. We spoke with Jen on Sunday, and she said that the Sleep Inn only has single King rooms left? So she is staying up at the Comfort Inn in Orem (I think?), so that may be a good alternative for people.

    We're excited to see everyone!

  2. Yea for weddings! Just a few questions:
My dress is black. Would you prefer that I purchase a saphire blue dress? Would you like our girls in that color, as well? Also, the scarf is not showing up on our computer, either. Thanks guys!

  3. Interesting, the scarf picture shows up fine on mine--I'm using Chrome. I'll try reposing it as an attachment instead. Hayley, as far as dress colors, we realize it's not practical to make everyone go buy dresses, but if it's in your budget and something you want to do, we'd encourage it, but black would be fine, there will be others in black.

  4. OK, it's reposted. Let me know if it's still not showing up.

  5. Picture is showing up for me- love the color. We're working on dresses in matching/coordinating colors. I am going to check with Claudia Piippo- she made ties for us...maybe could throw some together for the little boys= ONLY if that is something you might be interested in?
    LOVE YOU GUYS!

  6. Don't feel obligated, Jen. It's not a big deal, but if you wanted to do that for your kids, that's great. If you wanted to do it for others, great too.

  7. I found a patterned blouse with lots of blues and white. I will be wearing it with a black jacket and skirt. It will look great with the scarf.
does that sound OK with everyone? and
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY BRIAN!!

  8. Hey, also remember you can stay at our place as well! Thanks for all of this info!
I want to try to coordinate my clothes with the women in the family... What is everyone planning on wearing - back and white dresses, or skirts? Our do people have sapphire outfits? Thanks!

  10. We are now staying at Holiday Inn Express in North Provo. Decided driving to Heber would be pretty terrible.

  11. Gteg= don't think that anyone is staying in Heber- we are almost all in orem, maybe 5 minutes from you at the Comfort Inn in orem, just off the exit. Mike and liz are at the Sleep Inn in Provo. Not sure who is staying in Heber???
