Twitter

I have long been fascinated with Twitter. I get these urges to delve into the enigma that is Twitter.

Finally, I think I have found a good reason to do so.

  2. Why does your account say Dusty Scott on it?

  3. Is that an alias? Your middle name is Scott.

  4. Our mission is one of 8 in the world that is trying out a new program where the elders spend one hour a day "online". They are encouraged to tweet-facebook-blog, basically try to teach and find investigators online. I love the idea, I think that there is a lot that they can so...as long as the small few don't abuse privilages. I love this idea for something they could do!

  5. Hope you don't mind, but I added to your blessing list. Reading your list, I have realized that I am often so busy looking for the big blessings that I forgot the little things...and since no one is home, I wanted to share that with someone. Hope you don't mind that I borrowed your "tweet" platform. It really is a good idea/ If you're bored, or interested, Michael McClain has a really cool site along the same line...M2B:) (Mission to be happY).

  6. Dusty Scott is my alias. I feel narcissistic if I put my own name in there. Thanks for adding a blessing Jen! I retweeted it on my page so that I could respond.

Frankly, twitter is a strange, made up world with confusing lingo. I don't blame anyone for shying away.

That is cool that the missionaries go online. Half the world is online, so must be a good place to find!

  7. I doubt that I will ever get on, unless to add blessings, or to check up on my kids. I just don't get the point. Even facebook is still a little socialing frustrating. I think it's a good way to get information out to people (i.e.- the party location has changed from point a. to point b.) but it's a lot like texting, to casual and unpersonal and just leaves things very sterile...and to public!

  8. Twitter really is a strange thing. It still doesn't make sense to me.

  9. There was a lady on the news (who happened to be there because her twitter site was sooooo popular). She created this twitter site for her dog and did it from it's point of view. Turns out most of the world has nothing better to do than follow the life of a dog. Uhggggggg.
