Thermal G's

I am sure that everyone else has already thought of it...but if you haven't...

$4.00 for a pair of thermal/longjohn garment bottoms is well worth the investment when attending a winter wedding and planning on being outside for pictures  :)

Belated Recommendation- an addition to Mike's previous post

I didn't comment on Mike's cold sore post- but I had a lot to say, so I am going to add it on here...  hope you don't mind mike that I am taking a page out of your book.

I get cold sores...  EPIC cold sores.  Not just one, but a cluster of them that looks like I may have leprosy of the mouth.  It's gross and painful- but I am figuring it out.  What I have learned is that (of course) it's a virus, and as such it needs to stay at body temperature to flourish.   SO- as soon as you feel that tingle or itch of a cold sore, grab a piece of ice and freeze the bejiggers out of it.  It's miserable and cold, but do it for 20 minutes every hour and I can almost always keep it from erupting.  If it does come, then it's a quick heal and doesn't get as big.

Another thing that I do in combination is take L-Lysine and another lactobased pill that you get at the walmart pharmacy (non prescription, but because it's milk based it is refrigerated and you have to ask for it).  Don't ask the name, for some reason it magically eludes me tonight!  Lysine is an amino acid that represses the production of the amino acid arginine, which is required to reproduce the cold sore virus.

Another "try" is mixing salt with toothpaste and putting it on the cold sore.  The toothpaste is just to hold it there, the salt is to dry the spot up.  Again, the virus needs a warm moist place to grow, so you're just working to remove some of these factors.

May not work for everyone, doesn't always work for me, but has def. helped.  Good Luck!
How many of you will be coming to the dinner on Friday night at the Texas Roadhouse in Lehi?

AppGratis

Since the schedule faltered, I get to recommend whatever I want, whenever I want. Shobowza! Take that, schedule!

I know a few of us have iPhones, and this will apply only to them, but I found an app that is the doorway to all things free as far as apps go.

Introducing:

Download here (I think): http://appgratis.com/

Each day, this app will list one or two free apps that you can download and maybe another at a steep discount.  It is helpful because the developer of the app works out deals with developers of other apps, so you actually get some pretty sweet deals on some pretty awesome apps that you wouldn't otherwise get.  I like that I have something new to look forward to every day.  And, since Apple keeps track of all your downloads, you can just download whatever is free, ditch it for now if you don't have time for it, then try it again later.

I have downloaded some terribly useful apps, like Plants v. Zombies.  You should download this app. It kills.

No more recommendations?

I for one am sad that the recommendations have stopped. Anyone else share this sentiment?

Hi family!

I wanted to give you all a rundown of what will be happening in a couple weeks at the wedding. It's all going to be pretty informal and fun, so we hope you all like it!

First, the schedule.

Friday:
7:00pm We will be doing an inter-family dinner for all those who can make it at the Texas Road House in Lehi (1402 East Main Street Lehi, UT 84043). It would be nice to have as many of the family there as possible, but if you can't make it, we understand.

Saturday:
1:00- Sealing Ceremony at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. (742 North 900 East American Fork, UT 84003) You will need to show up at least 30 minutes early.

2:00- Pictures outside the temple

3:30- Luncheon at Rodizio Grill (749 West 100 North American Fork, UT 84003)

6:30-8:30- Reception and Wadley Farm (35 East 400 North Lindon, UT 84042)

I have attached a map of directions to each place here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&msa=0&msid=

Second, Attire.
For all the adult males in the immediate family we will be providing matching ties (rented). Please wear a dark suit with white shirt.  For all the adult females we will be providing matching scarves. I have attached a picture of the scarf to allow for outfit planning. It is strongly encouraged that the immediate family wear sapphire blue (see picture). If the women cannot, black and white are our supporting colors and will work fine. It is also encouraged, but not required, to wear the scarves. Really, we got them in anticipation that we may be wearing coats in our pictures and we wanted to have something to match. For non-adult girls, Steph is making matching hair pieces and should be sending them out to you. For non-adult boys. . . . we have no plans. Make them look good :)

Third, Sleeping Accommodations.
I thought we were going to try to stay in the same place, but it looks like that's kind of fallen apart. If you are still looking for a place, however, the original plan was for the Sleep Inn in American Fork. Mike and Liz will be staying there and would love as much company as possible. If you don't mind sleeping on an air mattress, our apartment in Salt Lake will be vacant. I'd love to show it off to anybody who wants.

For Kids not Attending the Ceremony:
I don't have many suggestions for babysitting, but I know Jeff and Brooke will be available to help out. Let me know if you want me to do additional digging on baby sitters. Maybe Juliana's family has some ideas worked out.

If you have any other questions or problems, please let me know.

Thanks!

Brian

Marietta

I am reading the book "The Enchantress" from the Alchemist series and came across the name Marietta.  What do you think boys, wouldn't that be a cute name for one of your daughters?? Mom
