Happy Birthday, Mom!

So I never post things, but I read something in Sunday School today that was helpful to me.  It is a statement by President David O. McKay.  He said, "There are, however, two conditoins which may justify a truly Christian man to enter - mind you, I say enter, not begin - a war:  (1) an attempt to dominate and to deprive another of his free agency, and (2) loyalty to his country.  Possibly there is a third, viz., defense of a weak nation that is being unjustly crushed by a strong, ruthless one."

CUTE!!

So I found this picture and fell in love.  It really brings to mind someone in our family...any guesses?

Clan MacBean

During a lovely evening with a friend of ours last night, Mike did a little research about the MacBean clan from Scotland, which he tells me is the distant origin of the current Bean family. As such, I thought everyone may be interested in some of the symbols associated with the clan.  Below is the clan crest, featuring a cat holding a shield.
